As a Catering Porter with ISS UK, you will play an essential role within our catering operation, supporting the movement of food, equipment, and supplies while ensuring a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a busy team and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service.
Working across patient and non-patient environments, you will help maintain the smooth and efficient operation of catering services while consistently striving to improve productivity and quality.
The Role
Work as part of a motivated and dedicated team to deliver a high-quality catering service.
Provide an efficient and safe catering porter service through the movement of food, equipment, supplies, and documentation throughout the site.
Assist with the preparation, transportation, and service of meals in accordance with operational requirements and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within kitchens, food preparation areas, and associated catering premises.
Carry out cleaning duties in accordance with food hygiene regulations, infection prevention standards, and health and safety procedures.
Ensure the prompt delivery of meals and catering supplies while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and service.
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
About You
An enthusiastic and positive approach to work.
Previous catering experience is desirable; however, a positive and proactive attitude is essential.
A good understanding of food hygiene principles and safe working practices.
The ability to follow instructions carefully while using initiative and good judgement when appropriate.
A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering an excellent service experience.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
