Are you passionate about helping people make positive, lasting changes to their lives? We're looking for a motivated and committed ProgrammeFacilitator to join our OffendingBehaviour Programmes Unit at HMP Northumberland.

In this rewardingrole, you'll deliver accredited offending behaviour programmes that supportindividuals in addressing the attitudes, thinking patterns and behaviourslinked to offending. Working as part of a dedicated rehabilitation team, you'llhelp create opportunities for meaningful change, contributing to safercommunities and reduced reoffending.

About the Role

As a ProgrammeFacilitator, you will deliver accredited interventions to the required nationalstandards, ensuring programmes are delivered in line with OSIG requirements,audit expectations and relevant Prison Service Instructions (PSIs) and PrisonService Orders (PSOs).

You'll buildpositive therapeutic relationships with participants, facilitate groupsessions, complete assessments and reports, and work collaboratively withcolleagues to support individuals throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accredited offending behaviour programmes to trained standards.
  • Attend all mandatory core skills and programme-specific training.
  • Conduct motivational and responsivity interviews before programme selection.
  • Deliver one-to-one sessions where required.
  • Prepare for and facilitate group sessions.
  • Complete session plans, debriefs and programme administration accurately and within required timescales.
  • Produce high-quality, objective and non-judgemental post-programme reports.
  • Attend supervision sessions and post-programme reviews.
  • Promote a positive, supportive and therapeutic learning environment.
  • Act as a positive role model for participants.
  • Work closely with OMU and OASys colleagues to support offender management.
  • Ensure Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles are embedded in all aspects of programme delivery.
  • Deliver interventions in accordance with national guidance, contractual requirements and audit standards.

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • An interest in facilitating group-based interventions.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting people to make positive behavioural change.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver structured learning sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive professional relationships.
  • Confidence working independently and using your own initiative.
  • Experience or willingness to work collaboratively with offender management teams.
  • Commitment to promoting pro-social goals that support successful resettlement.
  • Ability to develop and deliver programmes in line with OSMG/NOMS guidance, audit requirements and contractual standards.

Desirable

  • Experience working with individuals who need support to change thinking and behaviour.
  • Knowledge of offending behaviour interventions or treatment models.
  • Vocational qualifications or competencies relating to offending behaviour.
  • Understanding of the range of rehabilitation and treatment services available within the criminal justice sector.
