Summary
This role is pro rata, so the salary you will be receiving is £22,272.80 – £31,857.6 per annum.

BACKGROUND TO THE POST
As one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the UK, with unique colleges across two counties, we aim to deliver learning experiences which lead to the development of wider skill bases and improved destinations for all of our students.

The Moreton Morrell Centre is 8 miles from Royal Leamington Spa and is mainly devoted to programmes within the land-based sector. A vacancy has occurred within the Department of Equine for someone to teach a broad range of Equine related subjects to Further Education students. The main purpose of the role is to teach a broad range of equine subjects; both practical and theorybased.
However, lecturers are also required to create a learning environment that will enable our students to achieve their full potential in pursuing their course objectives and their personal goals. This is an important post involving course management, practical and classroom based teaching, and close liaison with the Curriculum Team and the Equine Centre. It offers considerable opportunities for personal development with growing responsibilities within the Programme Area.

In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties.The College will provide training.

Essential Attainments:
✓A degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in an Equine based discipline.
✓GCSE grade A-C or equivalent qualification in Maths and English
✓Teacher Training Qualification or the willingness to undertake the courses required to gain this.
✓Strong Administrative skills, including IT skills
✓A willingness to undertake continuing professional development.
✓ In order to ensure our students are being taught the latest skills there is a requirement for Lecturers to maintain their CPD and update industry specific skills on an annual basis.
Desirable Attainments:
✓ Previous experience of teaching at the relevant level and subject.
✓ Equine-based practical qualifications, i.e. BHS Stage Exams Essential Key Experience & Attributes:
