Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Service Manager-QAU Child Protection/Lead Child Protection Practitioner LBS-014 to join our team, providing expert leadership and oversight within our Quality Assurance Unit focused on child protection. This critical role involves managing and developing child protection services, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best practices, and leading efforts to safeguard vulnerable children and young people. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of child protection legislation, a strong background in social work or related disciplines, and proven leadership skills to effectively coordinate multidisciplinary teams. You will play a pivotal role in promoting high standards of practice, delivering training and support, and driving continuous improvements across service delivery. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Quality Assurance Unit focusing on child protection services to ensure compliance with statutory and organizational standards.
Oversee and conduct detailed audits and reviews of child protection cases to identify areas for improvement and ensure high-quality practice.
Develop, implement, and update child protection policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice guidelines.
Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to practitioners, managers, and partner agencies on complex child protection issues.
Coordinate training programs and professional development initiatives to enhance the knowledge and skills of the child protection workforce.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to promote integrated approaches to child safeguarding and welfare.
Monitor service performance through data analysis and reporting to senior management and regulatory bodies, driving continuous improvement.
