Summary

The post holder will also participate in haematology clinics which cover a wide spectrum of haematological malignancies and general disorders. You will have the opportunity to be actively involved in research and attend multi-disciplinary team meetings. This post involves daily management of haematology inpatients and referrals from other specialties. The post-holder will also provide cover for the treatment unit to review and manage patients on chemotherapy who are unwell and perform procedures including bone marrows, venesections and removal of Hickman lines. The haematology team are research active with a broad portfolio of trials open,including commercial trials. There will be an opportunity for involvement in researchand audit and time available for laboratory training depending on the individual needs.
