Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leigh on a long-term supply basis, supporting a Year 3 class. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence.

Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and resource management.

Provide targeted support for pupils with varying learning needs.

Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.

Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact on children's learning and development. Previous experience working within a primary school setting is desirable.
