Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Southam area to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, and is offered on a temporary agency basis through Hays Education. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the pupil's learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day.

The Role

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil.
  • Support learning both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Build positive relationships with the pupil, staff, and parents.
  • Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting.
  • Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis.
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Right to work in the UK.
