The Careers Service plays a vital role in enhancing students’ employability and supporting students to achieve satisfying and rewarding futures. In everything we do, we aim to open students’ eyes to the wealth of possibilities ahead of them.

The Opportunity:

The Careers Service is looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support within our busy and friendly Employer Team. We work with employers to help promote their opportunities to students, and establish the University of Edinburgh as a university of choice for global talent.

Annually, we publish 1000s of vacancies, run online and in-person large-scale careers events, and host and promote 100s of employer events. This role supports effective delivery of these services to employers including administrative duties such as processing invoices, statistical reporting, and promotion of opportunities.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to part-time or flexible working patterns. The Careers Service offers hybrid working that combines a mix of regular on-campus and remote working.

Team player with proactive and flexible approach, able to work with multiple priorities and remain calm at busy times.

Able to work independently and in an accurate and planned manner, with strong attention to detail.

Experience and evidence of ability in using digital tools, such as MS Office applications, in particular Excel.

Interest in recruitment, graduate labour market trends, current employment legislation and experience with online event platforms/MS Teams would be desirable.
