We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, international manufacturing business seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their growing HR team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional with previous manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing practical HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You'll play a key role in delivering a professional HR service, supporting managers with employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and contributing to continuous improvement across HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, including new starters, contractual changes and leavers.

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation using the company HR system.

• Ensure all HR data is accurate and up to date.

• Produce HR reports and people metrics as required.

• Prepare contracts, letters and other HR documentation.

• Support HR projects and process improvement initiatives.

• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations queries, providing practical advice to managers and employees.

• Manage first-line employee relations cases including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and conduct matters.

• Support investigations, meetings and associated documentation.

• Coach managers on the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

• Escalate more complex cases where appropriate.

• Monitor probation review dates and ensure timely completion of all probation processes.

• Support managers with probation reviews, extensions and outcomes.

• Ensure probation decisions are accurately documented and communicated.

• Provide day-to-day HR guidance and coaching to line managers.

• Promote best practice and consistency across all people processes.

• Build manager capability and confidence in handling routine HR matters.

• Ensure HR activities comply with UK employment legislation and company policies.

• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

• Support the ongoing review and improvement of HR policies and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll have:

Essential

• CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or currently working towards).

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong HR administration experience with excellent attention to detail.

• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

• Experience managing first-line employee relations cases.

• Confidence coaching and advising managers on HR policies and procedures.

• Experience using HR information systems (HRIS).

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
