Supply Chain Coordinator
The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join a growing food manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in procurement, planning and supplier management, ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
Manage the procurement of raw materials, packaging and third-party services.
Source new suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, service level agreements and payment terms.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability and continuity of supply.
Develop alternative sourcing strategies and contingency plans to minimise supply risks.
Supply Chain Planning
Forecast demand and manage inventory, material planning and stock availability.
Monitor commodity markets, crop cycles, pricing trends and other market factors to support strategic purchasing decisions.
Drive improvements in end-to-end supply chain performance, reducing lead times and optimising stock levels.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs across warehousing and distribution while maintaining service levels.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor and report on supply chain KPIs.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Support New Product Development through sourcing and supply chain risk assessments.
Work collaboratively with production, sales, finance and technical teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
Compliance & Standards
Keep up to date with relevant legislation, ethical sourcing practices and industry standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, legality and product authenticity.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
Report any risks relating to products, raw materials, packaging or equipment to enable prompt resolution.
About You
You'll have previous experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing or food production environment. You'll be commercially aware, highly organised and confident negotiating with suppliers while managing multiple priorities.
You'll also have:
