Taylor Blackwood Associates are currently recruiting for a Buyer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional to join a busy and supportive team. The successful candidate will initially be site-based for training before moving to a hybrid working arrangement, with the opportunity to work from home while attending site when required.
Start Date: ASAP
The Role
As a Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function and ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of materials
Responding to shortages and exception messages in line with production demand
Raising purchase orders and expediting overdue deliveries
Obtaining supplier quotations, benchmarking costs, and negotiating where appropriate
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Maintaining accurate purchasing data within internal systems
Processing requests for consumables and miscellaneous items
Providing general administrative support to the Purchasing team
