- Provide personalised support and assistance to students with SEMH needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals

- Implement tailored behavioural strategies and interventions to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being

- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective lesson plans

- Offer one-to-one or small group support to students, ensuring they receive the individual attention and guidance they require

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to students' progress, behaviour, and well-being

- Assist with the preparation and organisation of the learning environment, ensuring it is safe, stimulating, and conducive to student success

- Participate in professional development opportunities and training to continuously expand your skills and knowledge

- Foster positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues, promoting a supportive and inclusive school community

- Relevant qualification in education, SEMH, or a related field (e.g. , NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, BTEC in Children's Care, Learning and Development)

- Experience working with children or young people who have SEMH needs, either in a school setting or a similar educational environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with students, teachers, and parents/carers

- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to implement tailored strategies to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being

- Adaptability and the capacity to respond effectively to the changing needs of students

- Commitment to promoting the inclusion and academic progress of all students in your care

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

- A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, or the willingness to obtain one
