Summary

Job Description

Personal assistant/carer required to support a pre-teenage boy with personal care and social support after school and during school holidays. The role will be based mainly in the family home, with some outdoor activities, particularly during holidays.

Tasks include:

Prompting and supporting personal care and hygiene routines, such as hand washing, dressing, toileting, after school and morning routines.

Providing support in the kitchen e.g. choosing and preparing simple foods or snacks.

Supporting communication using signing, visual aids, and a communication iPad.

Assisting the Supported Person in engaging in interactive play and social activities, such as puzzles, games, Lego, and trampoline activities.

Supporting health and wellbeing through walks and outdoor activities.

Promoting independence through providing support taking medication.

A driving licence is not required.

Applicants must be members of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join.
