Domiciliary Care providing support in their own homes
Person-centred care
Communication skills- Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Compassion and Empathy- Show kindness, patience, and understanding when supporting clients
Personal care skills- Assist with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, maintaining personal hygiene.
Medication support- Safely assist with or prompt medication according to care plans and organisational policies.
Meal preparations
Observation and Reporting- Monitor clients health and wellbeing, recognise changes and report concerns promptly.
Time Management- Organise visits efficiently and complete tasks within scheduled times.
Independence and Reliability- Work confidently with minimal supervision while being dependable and punctual.
Respect and Dignity and Diversity- Treat clients with respect, maintain privacy and support people from different cultural and religious backgrounds.
Domestic Support Skills- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparations, shopping, and other daily living tasks when required
