Summary
Our client, a leading educational provider in Edmonton, is seeking a talented and dedicated Tutor to join their Alternative Provision team. As a Tutor in our Alternative Provision, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored instruction to students who require additional support or specialised learning environments. - Utilise a range of teaching methodologies, including one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and technology-based approaches, to maximise student engagement and learning
- Foster a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic progress and personal growth
- Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders to share best practices, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the overall development of the Alternative Provision programme
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant data, and provide regular updates to the broader team
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your teaching skills and stay informed of the latest trends and best practices in alternative education
- Relevant teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor's degree in Education or a PGCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Tutor or Teacher in an alternative provision or specialised learning environment
- Proven track record of delivering effective, engaging, and personalised instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Adaptability and creativity in developing innovative teaching strategies to support student success
- Thorough understanding of the unique challenges and best practices in alternative education
