Summary

MESMAC is a group of independent community-based sexual health and social wellbeing services that are committed to developing and delivering services that are responsive to the needs of our communities. Come and join our dynamic team in Hull where we have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Engagement Worker to help us promote a positive sexual health message to everyone across Hull.

You will be the digital heartbeat of our outreach, creating content for TikTok, Instagram and Twitter, meeting the population where they are and using creativity to break through stigma, erasure and misinformation. We are seeking someone who knows how to film, edit, design and publish with impact, who understands social media platforms intuitively and who is passionate about accurate and inclusive healthcare.

Overall Aim:

• To utilise digital media and social media platforms, to reduce the incidence of HIV, STIs and risky sexual behaviour in Hull.

• To ensure that people in Hull have access to high quality appropriate, accessible information and effective signposting online.

Prime Objectives:

• To offer design and graphics support to staff developing printed resources and ambient media.

• To offer filming and editing support to staff developing social media and campaigns.

• To ensure that service users have access to accurate information about the range of local sexual health, mental health and wellbeing services available.

Main Responsibilities & Duties (list not exhaustive – please refer to the job description and person specification on our website for more details)

1. To ensure digital content is comprehensive, current and accurate.

2. To make appropriate and timely updates to the MESMAC Website.

3. To increase community reach on a variety of social media platforms e.g. TikTok, Facebook, Instagram etc.

4. To train staff and volunteers to use digital platforms in their health promotion activity.
