Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator in Wallington. The Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator will contribute to a diverse range of projects, from small upgrades to full custom builds, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Duties of a Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator:

- Building and maintaining campervans, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and interior fit-out tasks

- Conducting engine conversions, brake system repairs, and general servicing

- Fabricating and welding aluminium and steel components for bespoke campervan builds

- Installing and maintaining 12V electrical systems, including wiring and electrical components

- joinery and cabinetry work for custom interiors

- Operating power tools and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently

- Ensuring all work adheres to high quality standards to produce durable conversions

- Handling customer repair, upgrade, and maintenance work as required

Requirements of a Campervan Conversion Technician / Fabricator:

- Minimum of 2 years' relevant trade experience in vehicle conversions, mechanical repair, or fabrication

- Proficient in using power tools and fabrication equipment; welding experience is advantageous

- Knowledge of 12V electrical systems and vehicle mechanical tasks

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Versatile skill set with strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship

- Experience working with campervans, motorhomes, or VW conversions is preferred

- Reliable, hardworking, and capable of interpreting technical instructions accurately
