Summary
Strategic Leadership & Organisational Direction Lead the development and implementation of GPAs strategic plan, ensuring clear priorities and alignment across the organisation. Drive innovation in service delivery, workforce models and digital transformation. Provide strategic oversight while contributing directly to organisational priorities where appropriate. Ensure decisions are informed by organisational need, system context and long-term sustainability. People, Culture & Leadership Foster a positive, inclusive culture that supports staff development, wellbeing and high performance. Provide visible leadership to senior managers, setting clear expectations, objectives and support. Strengthen collaborative working across teams, neighbourhoods and member practices. Promote leadership behaviours that encourage engagement, accountability and continuous improvement. Support development of flexible workforce and operating models. Collaboration & System Partnership Build strong relationships with member practices, NHS partners and stakeholders. Represent GPA at system-level forums and ensure alignment with Integrated Care System priorities. Support effective neighbourhood-level engagement through the Neighbourhood Director model. Governance & Compliance Ensure compliance with Companies Act duties, NHS governance and statutory obligations. Oversee risk management, safeguarding and information governance. Strengthen governance arrangements to support clear accountability and timely decision-making. Financial & Operational Management Maintain financial sustainability and oversee budget planning, ensuring expenditure decisions align with organisational priorities and affordability. Ensure delivery of contractual obligations and performance targets. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity across the organisation. Technology & Organisational Development Champion effective use of technology and digital solutions across the organisation. Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency through automation and process redesign. Support the development of a digitally enabled and adaptable workforce. Promote innovation and continuous improvement across all areas of delivery.
