We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting a client with Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy based in South West London. About the Role As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £17.49 for day shifts and £18.24 for waking night shifts. This position involves variable part-time hours per week and hours change dependent upon term time and non-term time. We are recruiting for a small team of 5 part-time Care Support Assistants and 1 bank Care Support Assistant to share the below shift patterns: Term time (20 hour) Monday to Thursday – 4.00pm until 10.00pm Friday – 3.00pm until 10.00pm Saturdays – 8.00am until 5.00pm Non-term time (34.5 hours) Monday to Friday - 8.00am until 8.00pm Saturday – 8.00am until 5.00pm Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant Assisting our client to meet their personal care and toileting needs Assisting our client with their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible Providing companionship and emotional support Helping with household tasks and meal preparation Supporting our client to attend appointments and community activities Administering medication when required What We’re Looking For To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need: A caring and empathetic nature Good communication skills A genuine desire to support others Basic IT and record-keeping skills A full UK driving licence is advantageous Experience in working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour would be an advantage – full training provided Additional Information Person-centred care is very important to us here at Your Life Your Way and you will have the opportunity to meet our client during the recruitment process.
