Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our highly acclaimed and well-established Therapy Department at Salford Royal Hospital for a 5 month period to cover a secondment.

As a Band 5 physiotherapist you will play a vital role in delivering patient care by providing assessment, planning, and delivery of treatment programmes to patients with multiple needs. You will join our current band 5 workforce who rotate every 6 months around areas such as  Respiratory, MSK, Community rehab and falls, Home first, CSNRT, Orthopaedics, Major Trauma, ACM, Neurosurgery, Stroke, Urgent care. 

We are looking for someone with

•    Broad experience of physiotherapy at undergraduate or post graduate level.

•    Excellent communication skills and ability to use initiative

•    Strong time management and problem-solving skills

•    Drive to deliver high quality care and rehabilitation to meet patient needs.

• Participate in the rotational scheme at Salford care organisation  completing rotations across acute and community settings .

• Working as an autonomous practitioner within your scope of practice and in accordance with your job plan.

• Be responsible for your continuing professional development, actively participating in supervision, peer support and training and development programmes.

• Manage a caseload including prioritisation and delegation of work to therapy assistants, performing patient assessments and making a clinical judgement of the patient’s needs.

• Develop, implement, evaluate and modify patient treatment programmes ensuring relevant pathways of care are followed in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team with onward referral to other agencies as appropriate. 

• Be able to travel across the footprint of Salford whilst on community rotations 

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records complying with Trust policies and procedures, upholding statutory, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and HCPC standards and codes of professional conduct.
