Summary

CARER NEEDED – MATERNITY COVER (UP TO 7 MONTHS)

Location: Strathblane Expected Start: Late August 2026 (exact date confirmed once maternity leave is finalised)

We are seeking a female carer/personal assistant to support a woman (41) with M.E./Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, living in a shared household with her mother (78).

This role involves gentle, paced support delivered calmly and respectfully.

Role Includes:

• Personal care (bed bathing, hair washing, assistance with dressing)

• Food preparation and simple home cooking

• General housework (cleaning, laundry, changing bedding)

• Help with weekly online grocery shopping and occasional phone calls

• Companionship

• Occasional wheelchair outings (garden and beyond)

• Optional support with car outings (training provided)

• Supporting a shared household, including light tasks for another adult family member

Requirements:

• Previous care experience desirable but not essential

• Ability to follow a routine carefully and work slowly and calmly

• Gentle, patient, and caring nature

• Reliable and respectful

Hours & Pay:

• Approximately 19 hours over 3 weekdays, between 10am and 5pm (exact schedule agreed at hiring)

• Breakfast and evening shifts may also be available (desirable but not required)

• £13.45 per hour (employed position, paid via payroll/PAYE)

Other Information:

• No smoking inside the premises; smoking permitted only during breaks off the premises

• PPE provided

• Household includes a cat
