Summary

We are looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic, confident and reliable to join our Adult Social Care Hub on a full-time, 12-month maternity cover contract.

If you are experienced in assessing and supporting manual handling situations and passionate about strengths-based practice, we would love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities…

Undertake strengths-based assessments with adults with disabilities, identifying needs and promoting independence, choice and control through Care Act compliant and cost-effective support.

Responsible for own caseload, working collaboratively with colleagues in the People directorate.

To be an autonomous practitioner and accountable for all aspects of your work, including management of individuals in your care and your own supervision and appraisal.

To assess for, plan and provide interventions around manual handling, seating, small aids and adaptations.

Participate in safeguarding assessments and planning when required.
