We are looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support a 16 year old boy who lives in Middleton in Teesdale.

He has an acquired brain injury, is a full-time wheelchair user and is non-verbal.

The young adult requires support with all personal care, including feeding and accessing the community.

He is a very happy young man who loves his music, being in the outdoors exploring the community, including accessible parks and bike riding, he also enjoys hydrotherapy.

Hours / Wage
4 hours per week term time

10 hours per week school holidays

2:1 care needed.

£13.50 per hour

Duties

The role will involve assisting the young man with personal care, taking him out into the community to enjoy walks, parks, helping him to stay engaged and enjoy his activities.

Additional Requirements/Information

Full clean driving licence is required and comfortable driving our wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Experience of children with learning difficulties and hoisting would be preferred but not essential.

Must respect confidentially, be caring, patient, flexible.

(Enhanced DBS will be required, employer will cover the cost)
