Summary

Personal Assistant (PA) required to Support a Young Man to Build Confidence and Independence

Location: HENLLAN Llandysul ( Work to be undertaken at this location)

Hours: 4 hours per week (ideally 2 hours on Monday and 2 hours on Wednesday, with flexibility)

Pay: £15.00 per hour (plus expenses covered on duty)

Are you an energetic, caring, and reliable person who enjoys making a real difference in someone's life? We're looking for a Personal Assistant to support a Shy friendly and engaging 17-year-old young man to enjoy new experiences, build confidence, and develop his independence while having fun along the way.

This is much more than a support role – it's an opportunity to become a trusted companion, mentor, and positive influence, helping a young person discover new opportunities and enjoy the world around him.

He is a bright and kind 17-year-old with Autism, ADHD, and Hypermobility. While these conditions can make it more challenging for him to stay regulated throughout the day and build new friendships independently, with the right support he hopes to enjoy getting out into the community and trying new activities and having his own adventures.

The young man enjoys:

• Playing guitar

• Going to the gym when the venue is quieter with less people

• Visiting parks, and quiet spaces

• Taking part in sporting activities

He is looking for someone who can become a familiar, trusted presence in his life—someone who makes him feel safe, valued, and confident enough to step outside his comfort zone while encouraging his growing independence.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support him to:

• Enjoy community activities and local outings.

• Access sporting activities, parks, cafés and shops.

• Use public transport where appropriate.

• Develop confidence with everyday life skills, including handling money and making purchases.

• Increase road safety awareness.

• Build social skills, confidence, and independence in a relaxed, enjoyable way.

• Stay safe when in your care.

Initially, outings may stay close to home while you build a positive relationship together, before gradually exploring further afield as his confidence grows.
