Gentleman in NR4 seeking self-employed PA for 7 hours per week £19.22 p/h

Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: ddbf5ec5

Job Purpose:

I am a friendly gentleman with early-stage Dementia, who is seeking a self-employed PA to keep me safe inside the home and provide support with everyday living tasks such as light meal and drink preparation, and general household cleaning. I need someone to cover for when my usual carer is unable to come in, is ill or on holiday, so working hours are variable.

I am a fun-loving person with a great sense of humour. I live at home with my wife and daughter in-law and love listening to music, which helps me feel calm and relaxed. Although I sleep a lot, I need someone who can provide gentle reassurance that everything is okay. I can be unsteady on my feet and sometimes prone to falls. As such, I need someone who can keep an eye on me and encourage me to slow down whilst I am walking. I enjoy going into the garden and really appreciate all the plants.

Prior experience in the care sector is essential for this role. While experience or knowledge of working with individuals with Dementia is preferred, candidates with the right attitude and a compassionate nature will also be considered. Someone who is kind, with a caring approach is crucial for this position.

This position is provided on a self-employed basis.
