Summary

Our client, an established independent used car dealership located in Hereford, is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automotive professional to develop their career within a reputable business serving the region for over 60 years.

Benefits for the successful Vehicle Technician:

- Potential earnings up to £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience

- First-year loyalty bonus of £1,000, paid in two instalments of £500 at months 6 and 12

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct service, maintenance, and repair work on customer vehicles in line with manufacturer and dealership standards

- Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and communicate findings to the Service Manager

- Ensure repair work adheres to health, safety, and quality standards

- Maintain high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction

- Complete relevant documentation and reports comprehensively and accurately

- Assist with vehicle inspections and health checks as required

- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment

- Support the team in meeting performance targets and objectives

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

- IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred, although strong demonstrable experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications

- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points

- Experience in a similar role within a busy dealership or repair environment

- Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques

- Motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused

- Ability to produce high-quality work within deadlines

- MOT licence would be advantageous but is not essential
