Summary

To undertake and, in the absence of a Band 7, lead on all CT scanning tasks as a senior team member team including Cannulation, contrast delivery, 4DCT, breath-hold techniques, palliative Eclipse planning and any future developments. Ensure compliance with all safe working practices under IR(ME)R 2017 AND IRR 2017. Ensure referral requests for Radiotherapy are completed and valid. To demonstrate effective patient management and skills encompassing all patients needs, using specialist knowledge of Pre- Treatment procedures. To undertake, patient consultations for preparing for CT scans & treatment and start of treatment reviews. To Maintain knowledge of requirements and limitations of the treatment delivery service to allow optimal patient positioning Demonstrate ability to resolve complex treatment and planning issues with problem solving skills and effective autonomous decision-making. Compute and check specialised calculations and complex planning data relating to patients treatment delivery. To communicate and participate with the multi-disciplinary team involved in patient care and service delivery. To ensure all new patients receive departmental information and documentation on radiotherapy prior to treatment e.g. consent and pre-treatment review.
