PMLD Teaching Assistant

Location: Cheetham Hill, Manchester

Contract: Temporary (Long-term)

Full Time: Monday to Friday

Pay: From £110 per day

A specialist SEN school in Cheetham Hill is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity until the end of the academic year, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex additional needs.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs, working closely with class teachers, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide personalised academic, physical, social, and emotional support. The school provides a highly structured, nurturing environment where every pupil is supported to develop independence, communication skills, and confidence.

Key responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD and complex additional needs

Supporting pupils with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, communication needs, and complex learning difficulties

Assisting with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities where required

Supporting the delivery of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
