THE BEST CONNECTION ARE RECRUITING FOR A DRILLING OPERATIVE - STEEL WAREHOUSE (SCUNTHORPE)
Location: Scunthorpe
Job Type: Temp to Perm (12 weeks)
Hourly Rate: £14.91 per hour
⚠️ Experience: Mandatory - must have proven drilling experience
Working Hours
Training period (first 12 weeks):
Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
After training:
Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 4:00pm
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Drilling Operative to join a busy steel warehouse team in Scunthorpe. You will operate drilling machinery to process steel components safely and accurately, maintaining high quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate pillar drills and industrial drilling equipment
- Drill holes and features into steel sections and plates
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Maintain safe working practices at all times
- Carry out routine checks and report any issues
- Support general warehouse duties when required
Mandatory Experience
To apply, you must have:
- Proven experience operating drilling machinery in a steel or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
