Summary
Head of Business Studies – Long-term temporary and ongoing, full-time, starting September 2026

Duties as Head of Business Studies:
- Leading and managing the Business Studies department
- Delivering outstanding Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 where applicable
- Driving student attainment and progress
- Developing curriculum content and assessment practices
- Monitoring teaching quality and supporting departmental staff
- Using data effectively to raise standards and improve outcomes
- Contributing to the wider leadership and development of the school
Ideal Head of Business Studies:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
- Leadership or departmental responsibility experience is desirable
- Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
- Proven ability to raise attainment and inspire learners
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
