Summary

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Children’s Clinical Research Fellow to join the children’s research team at the Royal London Children’s Hospital. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a junior doctor interested in developing experience in paediatric clinical research while maintaining clinical exposure.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of a diverse portfolio of paediatric studies, including commercial trials, NIHR portfolio studies and investigator-led research. The role involves working closely with consultants, principal investigators, research nurses and multidisciplinary teams to support safe, high-quality research delivery.

• Support recruitment to paediatric clinical research studies, including screening, consenting and enrolling participants

• Conduct study visits, clinical assessments and follow-up reviews in accordance with study protocols

• Collect and manage research data in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and research governance requirements

• Assist with the coordination and delivery of multiple clinical trials

• Support study feasibility, set-up and regulatory processes

• Liaise with study sponsors, monitors and regulatory bodies

• Contribute to data analysis, abstracts, presentations and publications

• Undertake supervised independent research or audit projects

• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and audit activitie
