We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves supporting the
efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods within a busy warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a
vital part in maintaining smooth operations, ensuring stock accuracy, and upholding safety standards across all activities. . This
position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling and warehouse management systems within a
supportive team setting.
Please note this is a rotational role.
Duties
* Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading lorries using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
* Managing stock levels through accurate picking and packing of orders in line with customer requirements
* Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
* Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
* Stocking shelves and storage areas systematically to optimise space utilisation and accessibility
* Performing quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity and safety
* Conducting mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting minor issues with warehouse equipment when necessary
* Ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to during daily operations, including heavy lifting techniques and hazard
awareness
Skills
* Ability to operate forklift trucks safe - Counterbalance or Reach required
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock accuracy and quality control
* Physical fitness for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout the shift
* Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods while maintaining safety standards
