Work Experience Coordinator

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about bridging the gap between education and industry? Do you thrive on creating opportunities that inspire the next generation of professionals within the

Creative Industries? If so, we want to hear from you!

Newcastle College is seeking a dynamic Work Experience Coordinator to join our

Digital Arts department on temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our students by developing meaningful industry placements and work-based learning experiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong industry relationships, securing high-quality work experience opportunities that align with curriculum content and industry standards. You will support students throughout the process, from sourcing placements to ensuring they are well-prepared and can reflect on their experiences to enhance their career readiness. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with curriculum teams and employers to create valuable, real-world learning experiences. Additionally, you will ensure all placements adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance requirements while promoting a culture of ambition and professionalism across the faculty.

We are looking for someone with a proactive and positive approach, who is committed to raising standards in an already fantastic department. Strong connections within the

Creative Industries are essential, along with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ideally, you will have experience in employer engagement, work placements, or career development, and a genuine passion for helping students develop the skills and confidence needed for successful careers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a vibrant and forward-thinking college, ensuring our students leave with the experience, industry awareness, and creative mindset they need to thrive.
