About the role

A Programme Leader within Digital & Media is responsible for coordinating a coherent learning programme and ensuring learners receive high-quality information, advice and guidance from enrolment through to progression. The role carries direct accountability for recruitment, retention, achievement, success and progression of individual learners, all within a framework of continual quality improvement.

Beyond administration, the postholder is expected to provide an excellent learner experience through exemplary teaching, learning support and assessment standards, leading the course team to drive quality through every stage of the learning journey. This includes taking ownership of collating, reviewing and disseminating learner progress data, and following up on any issues or concerns with appropriate action or intervention, working with internal colleagues or external agencies where necessary.

About the person

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Digital & Media professional who is passionate about developing creative talent. You will hold a degree in a relevant subject area, a recognised teaching qualification and Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent). An assessor qualification is desirable, although support will be available to achieve this if required.

You will bring current industry knowledge and experience, enabling you to deliver an engaging curriculum that prepares learners for further study and employment. With experience of teaching or training in FE or HE, you will be committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be confident using digital technologies to enhance learning, have a strong understanding of assessment and quality processes, and demonstrate a proactive approach to curriculum development and continuous improvement. Experience of internal verification and course leadership would be advantageous.
