Summary
Your new company You will be joining a commercial surveying business that has been operating across the UK for over 25 years. This is a specialist firm focusing into the health sector across the UK. They provide specialist property advice to the primary care sector, offering a range of services including rent reviews, market valuations, property transactions and lease advisory to their clients.
Your new role The role is ideal for an experienced MRICS Chartered Surveyor / Senior Surveyor, who is used to taking control of key projects and operating independently. Your new company is after a self-starter who is used to taking ownership of their own caseload. A confident communicator, who will be equally comfortable speaking with clients as you are negotiating valuations with third parties.
Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will involve visiting instructions to carry out property inspections, including measuring buildings. In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out rent reviews and market valuations, as well as advising clients on leases and negotiating on their behalf.
There is an element of travel involved and the occasional overnight stay as we carry out property inspections across the UK. It is also mandatory to undertake our initial in-person training in Yorkshire and any additional training as and when required, as well as attend and contributing to in-person team meetings every eight weeks in office to collaborate with the team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Chartered RICS status desirable
- Valuations experience in a professional role
- Negotiations experience
- Property inspection and measuring experience
- Valid and clean driving licence
- Lives within a 90minute drive of the office (e.g. Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham).
What you'll get in return
In return, you will get a salary of £35,000-£50,000 depending on your experience. You will also have a clear bonus scheme set out from day 1 where you earn based on what you bill. Holidays are 25 days plus a day over Christmas with this increasing after 5 years of service. Mileage is at 55p and professional subscriptions covered.
