I'm currently recruiting for a Specification & Compliance Technologist to join a well-established food manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a technical background who enjoys working with product specifications, retailer requirements and food safety compliance.

This position will suit someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with technical data and takes pride in ensuring products meet both customer and legislative requirements.

What you'll be doing

Producing and maintaining accurate product specifications for customers and internal systems.

Managing retailer and customer technical portals, ensuring information is always current.

Reviewing supplier documentation and supporting the supplier approval process.

Verifying artwork and packaging information before products are launched.

Maintaining ingredient, allergen and nutritional information.

Assisting with internal, customer and certification audits.

Supporting food safety systems, including HACCP and wider risk assessment activities.

Monitoring changes in legislation and customer standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

Investigating technical queries, specification discrepancies and labelling issues.

Providing technical support for new product launches and business improvement projects.

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience within a food manufacturing technical or specifications role.

A Food Science, Food Technology or similar qualification.

HACCP certification.

Good working knowledge of BRCGS requirements.

Experience using retailer specification systems such as Erudus, Brandbank, QADEX or similar.

A solid understanding of food legislation, allergens and nutritional labelling.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.

Confidence managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Good Microsoft Office skills.
