Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly GP surgery team in Newark. You will deliver high-quality patient care within a supportive primary care environment.
This role offers flexible working hours with both part-time and full-time opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
- Chronic disease management (asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
- Cervical screening (if qualified)
- Immunisations and vaccinations (childhood and adult)
- Wound care and treatment room procedures
- Travel health advice and vaccinations
- NHS Health Checks and preventative care
- Infection prevention and control
- Supporting GP partners with long-term condition reviews
- Clinical audits and quality improvement
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC PIN
- Experience in primary care or relevant clinical setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Competence in treatment room procedures
- Up-to-date mandatory training (Safeguarding, BLS, Infection Control)
- Chronic disease management experience
- Cervical cytology qualification
- Immunisation and vaccination experience
- Familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne
- Pay up to £25 per hour
