A well-established GP practice in Nottingham is seeking a compassionate, confident and clinically skilled Practice Nurse to join its friendly and supportive primary care team. The Opportunity
This role is perfect for an experienced Practice Nurse or a nurse transitioning into primary care with relevant treatment-room experience. You will work closely with the wider clinical team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred services within a busy yet supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Treatment Room Duties
- Childhood & adult immunisations
- Cervical screening
- Wound care & suture removal
- Travel vaccinations
- Venepuncture
- B12, contraception & routine injections
- NHS Health Checks
- ECGs, urine testing & basic observations
- Asthma reviews
- COPD reviews
- Diabetes management
- CHD monitoring
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Support QOF and enhanced services
- Contribute to infection control and treatment-room safety
- Educate and support patients in health promotion
- NMC-registered Nurse
- Experience in General Practice is desirable, but strong treatment-room skills will also be considered
- Confident in immunisations, screening and core nursing duties
- Strong communication skills with a patient-centred approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
