You'll take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class, delivering engaging lessons that challenge pupils, promote independent thinking, and prepare them for the next stage of their education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Creating a classroom culture built on respect, inclusion and high expectations.
- Using assessment and feedback to accelerate pupil progress.
- Differentiating learning to support children with a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
- Working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to deliver outstanding learning experiences.
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil achievement.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through clubs, events and enrichment activities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within a UK primary school.
- Secure knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- A creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning.
- High expectations for both pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
