Summary

Ad Hoc Cover Support Worker

Bristol

£14.00-£15.00 per hour + Holiday Pay

Ad Hoc / Flexible Shifts

Various Shifts Available (Days, Evenings, Nights & Weekends)

We are currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers, Project Workers, Recovery Workers, and Housing Support Workers to cover ad hoc shifts across a range of supported housing, homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse services in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for flexible work while making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Providing person-centred support to service users

✅ Supporting clients with independent living skills and tenancy sustainment

✅ Completing support plans, risk assessments, and case notes

✅ Safeguarding vulnerable adults and promoting wellbeing

✅ Managing challenging behaviours and responding to incidents appropriately

✅ Liaising with external agencies and support services

✅ Maintaining accurate records and ensuring service compliance

Requirements:

✔ Previous experience within supported housing, homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, or social care settings

✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred) or willingness to obtain one

✔ Flexibility to work various shifts at short notice
