Summary

KS1 Teacher – Flexible, ongoing roles starting as soon as possible

 These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of primary schools in and around Thetford, supporting pupils in Key Stage 1.

Duties as KS1 Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school policies
  • Support pupils’ learning, development, and well-being
  • Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency
  • Provide feedback on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1
  • Flexibility and confidence to work in different schools and year groups
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as a KS1 Teacher
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
