Salary: £21.00 per hour

Teaching in communities and planning off site.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To deliver a balanced and flexible programme of accredited Family Learning provision across Lincolnshire

To develop adults� confidence in their own skills and abilities

To support and develop positive interaction between parent and child

To help signpost families to further learning opportunities within their local community

2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & DUTIES

i. To plan, prepare and deliver accredited courses using schemes of work, session plans and a variety of methods and approaches to enable and support learning including providing learners with a Learning Diary (LD), individual learning plan (ILP) or personal learner record (PLR) and supporting each session with a well prepared session plan

ii

Work with the allocated project officer to provide written information for all publicity / marketing.

Provide information and advice to learners at the beginning and end of course.

To attend induction and all other meetings where required as appropriate.

iii To fully complete, and submit to deadlines, accurate administrative paperwork related to the organisation of teaching including enrolment forms, registers, completion and achievement data, course folders, course evaluations, and other course and statistical information as required. Some of which may be online.

iv To carry out Disability Discrimination Act and Health and Safety checks on venues prior to commencement of courses

v To ensure all learners receive a proper induction to their course

vi To carry out and record initial and ongoing assessment in order to identify learning and support needs, progress and achievement

vii To check with all learners that the course contents and level meet individual needs.

viii To prepare and plan learning based on accreditation offered as well as assessment, negotiating individual learning outcomes and content as appropriate

ix To teach using a variety of relevant teaching and learning methods to enable and support individual learning including online delivery where appropriate

x To produce course resources and materials that are appropriate, contextualised and respond to the needs of learners to include weekly uploading of resources onto Moodle.

xi To develop and embed basic Functional Skills into teaching sessions

xii To review, reflect and evaluate own learning and teaching in order to plan for improvement

xiii Provide the nominated Project Officer with draft schemes of work prior to course start date. The final version to incorporate learner needs after the course start date and to complete a thorough induction including learner Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity and guidance processes
