Pay: £170-£223 per day (MPS, depending on experience)

A welcoming and well-established specialist SEN school in Chorlton is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher or a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs in a specialist setting.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Working alongside a skilled team of teaching assistants and therapists, you will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where appropriate.
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, the SENCO, and other professionals to support pupils' development.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Promote positive behaviour using consistent and supportive behaviour management strategies.
- Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching pupils with SEND or a strong interest in specialist education.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
- Has the right to work in the UK and is available full-time.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working within a specialist SEN school.
- Knowledge of Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs.
- Experience implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Team Teach or other positive behaviour management training.
