Summary

Quality Assurance Officer (Pharmaceutical GMP)

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Salary: £29,000 - £35,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday |~ 8:30am - 5:00pm

Our client is looking for a motivated Quality Assurance Officer to join their expanding Quality team in Sandwich, Kent.

This is more than just another QA position-it's an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards while developing your skills across the full Quality Assurance function.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Quality team, you'll help ensure products are manufactured and released in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

✔ Reviewing and approving batch manufacturing records

✔ Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS)

✔ Reviewing SOPs, controlled documents and quality records

✔ Managing Deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls, Complaints and OOS investigations

✔ Supporting internal, supplier and regulatory audits

✔ Assisting with supplier qualification and Quality Agreements

✔ Supporting quality investigations and product recalls

✔ Maintaining GMP training records

✔ Working closely with Production and QC to drive continuous improvement

As your experience develops, you'll also have opportunities to lead projects, support validation activities, mentor colleagues and take ownership of key quality systems.

What We're Looking For

✅ Essential

✔ Previous Quality Assurance experience within a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

✔ Strong understanding of GMP and GxP requirements

✔ Experience with QMS, CAPAs, Deviations and Change Controls

✔ Batch record review experience

✔ Excellent investigation and problem-solving skills

✔ Strong technical writing and documentation skills

✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills

✔ Good Microsoft Office skills

⭐ Desirable

➕ Around 3 years' pharmaceutical QA experience

➕ Internal or supplier audit experience

➕ Validation experience

➕ Supplier Quality knowledge

➕ Experience mentoring or training colleagues

➕ Continuous improvement project experience
