Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Diagnostic Vehicle Technician in Manchester. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced motor trade professional to advance their career within a reputable dealership environment.

Duties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct detailed diagnostic assessments using manufacturer-standard equipment

- Carry out repairs and maintenance, including electrical diagnostics, to ensure vehicle safety and compliance

- Perform routine servicing tasks according to manufacturer guidelines

- Use digital systems to complete accurate job cards and detailed work documentation

- Support electronic diagnostic procedures, including eVHCs

- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures at all times

- Maintain a clean, organised workshop environment

- Provide excellent customer service by explaining findings and repair recommendations efficiently

Requirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician :

- Recognised Level 3 qualification such as IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent

- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician in a motor trade environment

- Strong diagnostic skills with a thorough understanding of modern vehicle systems

- MOT licence is desirable; comprehensive training can be provided if not currently qualified

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous professional development

- Eagerness to expand technical knowledge through manufacturer training programmes
