Summary

Assembly Operative - Stockport

Location: Stockport

Pay Rate: £16.04 per hour, increasing to £17.09 per hour after 12 weeks

Current Hours (for approximately the first 3 weeks): Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 5:15pm £13.95 per hour

Please note: Due to business requirements, the shift pattern will change after approximately 3 weeks to a rotating two-shift system:

Week 1 (Early Shift)

Monday to Thursday: 5:45am - 2:00pm

Friday: 5:45am - 12:45pm

Week 2 (Late Shift)

Monday to Thursday: 1:30pm - 9:45pm

Friday: 11:45am - 6:45pm

The Role

As an Assembly Operative, you'll be responsible for assembling a variety of small electrical and non-electrical components to a high standard. Working as part of a skilled production team, you'll ensure products are built accurately, efficiently and safely.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assembling small electrical and non-electrical components

Can be quite repetitive work

Following assembly drawings, work instructions and production specifications

Using hand tools and small assembly equipment

Carrying out quality inspections throughout the assembly process

Ensuring products meet company quality standards

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

Working effectively as part of a team to achieve production targets

Following health and safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

We're looking for reliable, enthusiastic individuals who have:

Previous assembly, production or manufacturing experience (preferred but not essential)

Excellent attention to detail

Good manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Good timekeeping and reliability

The ability to work independently and as part of a team
