The Best Connection is currently recruiting 2 experienced MIG Welders on behalf of our well-established manufacturing client based in the heart of West Bromwich.

Shift Patterns

Morning Shift

Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00

Friday: 06:00 - 13:00

Afternoon Shift

Monday to Thursday: 14:00 - 22:00

Friday: 14:00 - 20:00

The Role

As a MIG Welder, you will play a key role in producing high-quality manufactured products while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and Health & Safety requirements are consistently met.

Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for welding and assembling components to exact specifications while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

✅ MIG welding a range of manufactured products

✅ Setting up welding equipment and supporting machinery

✅ Reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings

✅ Manufacturing components to required production targets

✅ Reporting production and quality concerns promptly

✅ Taking ownership of finished product quality

✅ Completing accurate production and quality documentation

✅ Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards (5S)

✅ Supporting continuous improvement activities

✅ Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures

✅ Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Previous production MIG welding experience

✔ Experience welding mild steel and pre-galvanised steel

✔ Ability to confidently read and interpret 2D engineering drawings

✔ Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach

✔ Ability to work independently and within a team environment

✔ Positive attitude with a commitment to achieving production targets safely

✔ Willingness to embrace and uphold the company's ATIRE and SQDC values
