Summary
The Cambridge Breast Unit (CBU) is seeking an experienced and compassionateBand 7 Breast Clinical Nurse Specialistto join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis.
This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care across the breast cancer, oncoplastic reconstruction, and breast screening pathways. Working alongside our breast consultants and multidisciplinary team, you will support patients referred through suspected cancer pathways and breast screening services, advocate for patients in MDT discussions, and run independent nurse-led clinics requiring advanced clinical knowledge and autonomous decision-making.
We are looking for a motivated professional with experience inbreast surgery and wound management, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centred approach.
The post is scheduled to workMondays, Wednesdays, and Fridaysto support service delivery (reviewed annually).

The post holder is a recognised expert in the specialty, responsible for assessing, developing and implementing specialist nursing care programmes and undertaking specialist nursing procedures
Responsible for providing specialist advice and support to, and liaising with, other staff. This includes the provision of specialist education and training for other staff and students
Responsible for implementing a clearly defined integrated approach to patient care encompassing new treatments and evidence based care
Required to undertake research and lead clinical audits in own specialist area.
