The TB Specialist Nurse team at CUH are pivotal in ensuring TB patients continue to receive world class care. The team are looking for an expert nurse practitioner to lead the TB CNS service at CUH.
If you have extensive experience in TB nursing and are passionate about making a real difference for patients diagnosed with TB then this could be the job for you.
Manage and lead a specialist TB service with responsibility for ensuring high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients and their
carers with a diagnosis of TB, MDRTB and nontuberculous mycobacteria, ensuring assessment and coordination of care in liaison with the multidisciplinary team and other health agencies.
• Responsible for the assessment, planning, diagnosis implementation and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills in TB.
• Lead on improving the quality of the service through the development of nursing practice in line with local and national strategy and guidance
ensuring a robust and excellent service.
• To be an expert nurse with strategic input at regional and national level.
• Tuberculosis Control Board representative for the East of England, working in collaboration with UKHSA, NHS England.
• Be actively involved in the development of the service locally and nationally ensuring positive working relationships with partner trusts and
Cambridge and Peterborough TB network which includes local authority, integrated care boards, primary care and public health colleagues.
