Summary

Personal Assistant(s) Required – Support a Wonderful Young Lady to Live Life to the Full

We are looking for caring, patient and kind-hearted female Personal Assistants to join a small team supporting an amazing 18-year-old young lady, D, in her family home and local community.

This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys making a real difference. D has autism and a learning disability, and she has a fantastic personality, a great sense of fun, and loves experiencing the world in her own unique way.

About D

D is energetic, adventurous and loves to keep busy. She particularly enjoys:

Water play and sensory activities

Messy play and creative experiences

Listening to music and dancing

Watching her iPad and favourite TV programmes

Visiting parks, woodland walks and the beach during quieter times

Relaxing at home in her newly transformed sensory-friendly space after school

Like many autistic people, D may sometimes display behaviours that communicate her needs, particularly when she needs support to regulate. With the right approach, patience and understanding, you'll help her feel safe, happy and able to enjoy her day.
